New Delhi | May 7, 2025:
The Indian government has shared video footage of a recent military action called Operation Sindoor, where the Indian Army attacked terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The video shows Indian forces using airstrikes and heavy weapons to destroy places where terrorists were staying. These camps were believed to be preparing terrorists to cross into India and launch attacks.

The operation took place in late April after Indian intelligence found strong evidence that a group of terrorists was planning to sneak into India. Once the information was confirmed, the Army quickly acted on it.

Terror camps linked to groups like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba—both involved in past attacks on India—were hit. Officials say that more than a dozen terrorists were killed, and several camps were damaged or destroyed. No Indian soldiers were hurt.

One government official said, “We had to act to protect our country. This was a well-planned move to stop future attacks.”

Releasing the video now is seen as a way to show the public and the world that India is serious about stopping terrorism. Experts believe it will also warn terror groups not to take chances with India’s security.

India has done similar operations in the past:

  • In 2016, Indian soldiers crossed the border after the Uri attack, where 19 Indian troops died.
  • In 2019, Indian jets bombed a terror camp in Balakot, Pakistan, after a suicide bomber killed 40 CRPF jawans in Pulwama.

The Indian government plans to inform other countries about Operation Sindoor to explain that it was done for self-defense and peace in the region.
