Fans spot unexpected ‘feud’ between two stars
We’re only a few weeks into this year’s Strictly Come Dancing and already news reaches us from some eagle-eyed fans who reckon they’ve already spotted trouble brewing between two of the show’s biggest stars.
On Saturday night (October 1), some viewers took to social media to point out a possible problem between pro dancer Karen Hauer and head judge Shirley Ballas.
After Karen and her celebrity partner Eddie Kadi performed their cha cha cha, they made their way over to Tess Daly for judges’ comments.
And it wasn’t long before the judges were being a little harsh in their critique. Shirley, in particular, didn’t seem thrilled with Karen’s choreography.
Strictly news: Two show stars lock horns?
Head judge Shirley said: “I want to be fair to everybody and week two and three are a little bit technical. You danced everything on your toes. It’s not a toe in cha cha cha, it’s more flat, you have to lower your heels.
“I didn’t see a straight leg, the weight was back, I didn’t mind this Cuban thing going, but not for the whole routine. The posture needs to be in a straight line, and we need a little bit of what is a straight leg and what is a bent leg.”
Craig Revel Horwood said he felt the dance was more of a “street dance” and said there was “no cha cha technique whatsoever”.
Viewers react
While Karen – who is Strictly’s longest serving pro dancer – kept a neutral expression, some fans seemed to sense that she wasn’t impressed.
One claimed: “I’ve always got the impression that Shirley and Karen don’t get along. Possibly because Shirley was a mentor to Kevin Clifton and Karen and Kevin obviously divorced. But Eddie should not have been caught in the crossfire. He has no control over the choreography. So critiquing him on that and not giving him any actual feedback on his performance is ridiculous.”
Another simply said of Shirley on X: “She’s always nasty to Karen Hauer.”
A third speculated: “Bet there was some backstage drama after that.”
And it wasn’t the first time Shirley found herself in the firing line for harsh judgement last week, either.
ED! has contacted reps for Shirley and Karen for comment.
Karen thanks fans for support
After some challenging feedback, Karen and comedian Eddie scored 21 out of a possible 40, leaving them in the lower half of the leaderboard.
But Karen remained positive. Shortly after Saturday night’s show, she shared a snap of herself and Eddie on Instagram.
The caption read: “Thank you for all your beautiful messages of encouragement and support. It does not go unnoticed.”
The viewers clearly didn’t have a problem with the pair. And, as a result of their votes, Karen and Eddie will be back for Movie Week on next Saturday’s live show.

I’m A Celebrity star Tulisa speaks out over missing final
Tulisa Contostavlos took to Instagram to address her absence from the I’m A Celebrity finale days after deleting all traces of the jungle.
The N-Dubz singer was the only campmate missing when Danny Jones was crowned the King of the Jungle.
Tulisa previously clarified that her decision to delete posts related to the jungle had nothing to do with her pals, who handled her Instagram posts while she was away.
She brushed off the rumours that she felt “unhappy” with what was shared about her online. So, fans want to know what stopped her from appearing alongside her fellow campmates last night (December 8).
Tulisa Contostavlos missed I’m A Celebrity finale
Tulisa’s fans have wondered about her whereabouts ever since she left the show. While many seemed disappointed with her early exit, others appeared occupied with rumours surrounding her social media behaviour.
Yesterday, she posted highlights from the jungle close to her heart while dedicating the caption to her fellow campmates in the finale.
Alongside a carousel of her pictures from the jungle, Tulisa wrote: “Looking back at some of my favourite moments from the @Imacelebrity jungle. It’s been a whirlwind.
“Thank you to @itv for the experience and for sending so much love to my jungle fam before the final tonight. Sorry, I can’t be there to celebrate with you all.”
Why Tulisa left Australia after I’m A Celebrity
In a different video posted to her account five days ago, Tulisa revealed the real reason she flew back to her home country.
She said she wanted to take time off to deal with all the attention she received from the show as it became overwhelming.
Tulisa said: “I was getting a lot of attention, a lot of bombarding – in all the most positive way, but because it’s been a bit of a while for me, I can get overwhelmed quite easily and I just started to feel a little bit overwhelmed.”
“And I was like, do you know what? I need to just take a little bit of time for me and just chill. This is all just feeling a bit much at the moment,” she continued.
She also promised her followers she would return with her favourite jungle memories to post on her Instagram reels. “The way it’s being posted and all the random stuff is not how I would do my Insta. I would have one or two really good reels relating to the jungle and bringing my time together there,” the singer explained.
Tulisa sparks criticism over I’m A Celeb final absence
I’m A Celebrity viewers have expressed disappointment with Tulisa for deliberately missing the finale and choosing not to be a part of the final camp moment.
When one of the followers asked: “Couldn’t be there or didn’t want to be there?” another agitated fan added: “You couldn’t even have the dignity to show up to congratulate the winner.”
Echoing the above emotions, one said: “MUST be a GOOD reason why you’ve chosen to fly home. Such a shame you couldn’t finish your jungle experience with the rest of them tonight.”
“Not a great team player after all!” complained another.
However, most comments targeted at Tulisa appeared positive as fans want her to prioritise her mental wellbeing over negative remarks.
“You were fabulous and your soul shone through. Big love,” said one supportive.
Another added: “You came across really well Tulisa and I think you looked stunning. You’re gorgeous. Stay strong babe.”
Someone else wrote: “You’ll always be our winner, we love you, take care of yourself.”

Jay-Z hits back after he’s accused of historic rape of 13-year-old girl
Shawn Carter, better known by his pseudonym Jay-Z, was accused on Sunday, December 8 in a civil lawsuit of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000 with Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The lawsuit dates back to October. At the time of its first filing, it listed Combs as the sole defendant.
However, it now names Carter as well. It does not name his accuser, instead referring to her as an anonymous “Jane Doe”.
Her claim is that Combs and Carter raped her in 2000 after bringing her to an MTV Music Video Awards afterparty. Jay-Z denies the claims.
Anonymous Jane Doe accuses Jay-Z of raping her as a 13-year-old in 2000
On October 20, 2024, a lawsuit claimed that Sean “Diddy” Combs had sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl in 2000 at an MTV Music Video Awards afterparty.
Now, those responsible for filing the lawsuit have amended it to include Shawn Carter, aka Jay-Z.
The anonymous accuser said it happened after they invited her to an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty, according to NBC News, where the story first appeared.
According to the suit, the driver of a limousine told her she “fit what Diddy was looking for”, and took her to the afterparty. The suit claims the driver took her to a white house with a U-shaped driveway. It adds that she had to sign a document she believed was a nondisclosure agreement, when they arrived.
It claims that someone offered her a drink that made her feel “woozy” and “lightheaded”, and that shortly after going to a room to rest, Combs and Carter entered the room.
Carter denies the claims the lawsuit makes.
“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!” he said in a lengthy statement available to read in full on Variety.
Jay-Z calls claims ‘idiotic’
In his statement responding to the lawsuit, Carter calls the claims idiotic and insinuates that the motivation behind them is disingenuous.
“Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree? These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.
“My only heartbreak is for my family,” he added.
“My wife and I will have to sit our children [Blue Ivy, 12, and Rumi and Sir, six] down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence.
“Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable,” he says.
Lawyer Tony Buzbee responds to Jay-Z’s response
Jay-Z’s statement says he will expose his accuser for the “fraud” they are.
Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee, who has worked with many alleged victims of Combs and who filed the legal action against Jay-Z under New York’s Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, has responded to Carter’s reaction.
On X, he posted that Shawn Carter is attempting to “silence” his clients.
“His conduct has had the opposite impact,” he wrote. “She is emboldened. I’m very proud of her resolve.”
“As far as the allegations in the complaint filed, we will let the filing speak for itself and will litigate the facts in court, not in the media.”

Alan Halsall leaves fans laughing during I’m A Celebrity finale
I’m A Celebrity viewers were left in hysterics after fans spotted a signal from Alan Halsall to his daughter.
The epic finale aired last night (December 8), and all the former campmates were there to show their support.
But it seems one celeb in particular caught viewers’ attention – all thanks to his pose.
Alan Halsall on I’m A Celebrity
Right before Ant and Dec announced Danny Jones as the King of the Jungle, the camera showed all the previous campmates.
While many of them smiled and waved, Alan took the opportunity to give his daughter Sienna one final heart.
It has become a staple for him over the last three weeks. Any time Ant and Dec were heading into camp to tell them anything, Alan would make the heart hands. A symbol for his daughter back home.
While it was only a brief second, many viewers spotted it and found it absolutely hilarious.
Viewers react to Alan’s symbol
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), I’m A Celeb viewers couldn’t help but share their thoughts.
One wrote: “Alan had to get one last heart in didn’t he lmao.”
Looool Alan getting one last heart in
Another added: “Alan doing his heart hand again hahahahaha.”
“Alan’s last heart sign :(“, a third penned.
A fourth wrote: “Looool Alan getting one last heart in.”
Alan missing his daughter
Throughout his whole time on the show, Alan spoke a lot about Sienna, who is just 11-years-old. He openly spoke about how his goal in the jungle was to make her proud, and it seems like he has done just that.
Alan was also eager to speak to Sienna as soon as he left the camp, so we’re sure she has told him how much she loved watching.
I’m A Celebrity finale
Many of the jungle celebrities had secret signals to their loved ones back home, but none were just as obvious as Alan’s.
The I’m A Celebrity finale marked the end of what has been described as “the best season ever.”
While Danny was favourite to win from the moment he walked into the camp, it was a hard one to call for everyone back home, as both him and Coleen seemed to have hoards of supporters.
Luckily for viewers who aren’t ready to say goodbye to this year’s campmates, they have one last chance. The coming out show airs this Friday on ITV.
The latest series of I’m A Celebrity is available to watch on demand on ITV.
