Why Coleen Rooney hasn’t reunited with Wayne after I’m A Celeb
I’m A Celebrity star Coleen Rooney landed in the UK yesterday (December 11), but she’s yet to meet her husband Wayne Rooney.
The mum of four became the runner-up of the latest series of I’m A Celebrity after Danny Jones was crowned the new king.
While Coleen‘s mum and her two sons – Kit and Cass – flew down under to support her, Wayne stayed back in Devon focusing on his job as the manager of Plymouth Argyle.
So, why haven’t Coleen and Wayne reunited and what’s keeping the former footballer in Plymouth? Read on to know…
Why Wayne hasn’t met Coleen after I’m A Celebrity
Coleen and her husband haven’t seen each other since she returned from the jungle. Reports claim Wayne is “fighting to save his job,” keeping him from meeting his wife in Cheshire.
According to the Daily Mail, he is busy managing his work schedule. He was spotted taking a walk with Manchester United first-team coach Mike Phelan on Thursday morning.
Mike is reportedly drafted in to help Wayne “keep his job” in Plymouth after his team lost back-to-back games against Bristol City and Norwich over the weekend.
Meanwhile, Coleen quickly returned to her old routine and dropped her sons off to school today. She posted a selfie taken from the driver’s seat featuring her sons on the way to school. The WAG captioned it: “Back to the school run!!”
She seems thrilled to reunite with her family after almost quitting I’m A Celebrity.
Coleen Rooney’s house
Coleen and Wayne live in the same country, but hundreds of miles separate them. Ahead of her stint on I’m A Celebrity, the WAG shared the reason she and Wayne don’t live together.
While Coleen and her four sons live in their £20 million mansion in Cheshire, Wayne has remained in Devon managing his football team.
The couple decided to live in different homes for the sake of their children. Wayne landed the job with Plymouth Argyle Football Club in May 2024 and Coleen stayed back in Cheshire after a lot of consideration.
She realised moving the entire family to a new place meant uprooting her children’s lives, which she and Wayne wanted to avoid at all costs.
She told the Mirror: “Everything’s going well with football, and other boys are all settled at school, so it didn’t seem fair on the children to pick them up and take them away, and start in a whole new place.”
Despite the challenges of a long-distance relationship, Coleen and her husband can successfully pull off their parental responsibilities.

Marcus Brigstocke teases Death In Paradise Christmas spoiler
Death in Paradise fans are in for a rollercoaster ride this Christmas, as guest star Marcus Brigstocke has revealed that his character, vacationer Stuart Fullwell, is going to meet an untimely end.
The BBC series is due to return over the festive period with a glitzy Christmas special.
Marcus Brigstocke reveals character’s fate in Death In Paradise
Marcus made the revelation during an episode of BBC Morning Live on Thursday (December 12).
He spoke to presenters Jacqui Joseph and Gordon Smart, saying he was thrilled to be cast on the series. But he won’t be on screen for long…
“I know that Death in Paradise has been looking for the new detective,” he told the duo. “So when the call came I instantly called Rachel, my wife.” He apparently felt sure they’d be moving to Guadeloupe for six months.
Alas, that’s not quite how the call went.
The BBC made it clear to him – “quickly”, he adds – that his character wouldn’t last long. He’s one of the murder victims, as it turns out. But that didn’t dampen his spirits.
“I was still over the moon,” he said. “It’s a beautiful, brilliant, funny and engaging show. It’s so fun to do.”
He went on to joke that a scene in which he sings karaoke will make its way into the UK Christmas singles charts later this month.
“I doubt they would have killed me because of my singing,” he told the presenters. “Because I think it’s going to be a big hit and I see a big shift in my career,” he joked.
Where and when to watch the Death In Paradise Christmas special
Death in Paradise will be back for its 2024 Christmas Special on Sunday, December 22. Catch it on BBC One.
The BBC’s blurb for the episode teases a few details.
Londoner Mervin Wilson (played by Don Gilet) is the new detective inspector. His out-of-town ways will “ruffle some feathers”, we’re told, as he “clashes with the island’s way of life”.
“But he quickly sinks his teeth into one of the team’s most puzzling murder cases yet,” the BBC adds. What happens?
“Three men, all unconnected apart from the fact that they’re dressed as Santa Claus, are shot with the exact same gun at the exact same time.”
Classic.
“As Mervin wrangles with this impossible murder, his colleagues struggle with their new boss’ unusual working methods. And Dwayne’s Christmas with his father doesn’t exactly go to plan…”

Gino D’Acampo statement on ITV future amid ‘inappropriate behaviour’ claims
Top chef Gino D’Acampo has spoken about his immediate future on ITV after being slapped with “inappropriate behaviour” claims.
Last week, an unnamed woman accused the Italian chef of alleged misconduct for more than five years when they worked on This Morning. The claims against Gino come amid an investigation into the Gregg Wallace scandal.
Gino first broke his silence on Instagram on Monday (December 9) following the harassment row. Without addressing the allegations, he simply responded to a post about his cookware range.
Gino D’Acampo staying on ITV
Now, Gino has provided an update on his future on ITV amid the scandal.
The 48-year-old chef took to Instagram to announce his forthcoming show with Fred Sirieix, Emission Impossible, will air soon. “I can’t wait to go back on the road with my French brother Fred Sirieix,” he wrote in the caption.
The carousel consisted of a series of images of the two stars captured on different occasions. Meanwhile, Emission Impossible will air on December 16 and 17 at 9pm on ITV1.
The official synopsis for the ITV show reads: “The firm Italian and French friends, Gino D’Acampo and Fred Sirieix are back on their travels. In an attempt to be greener, they’re off on a geographical, culinary, cultural and eco-friendly tour of Austria and Croatia.
“Taking in the Alps, spectacular but melting glaciers, vegan food alternatives, green safaris, agrotourism and lagoon-aged wine, they are on a voyage of discovery.”
Fans react
Gino’s followers seemed thrilled about the TV comeback.
One said: “Can’t wait to watch this.” Another then commented: “Can’t wait – we all need a laugh.” A third also said: “You guys make me laugh so much. Love watching your adventures – and Gino..,.. don’t ever change.”
Allegations against the chef
The complaint raised with ITV bosses accuses Gino of questionable behaviour towards one of his female colleagues. They reportedly worked together on This Morning between 2006 and 2011.
A source close to the complainant alleged to The Sun: “She worked [with Gino] for five years. She has come forward after being spurred on by the Gregg Wallace scandal and the comment he made about his accusers being middle-class women of a certain age.”
The chef is also accused of flashing crew members of Emission Impossible, who were later offered counselling.
“Filming was halted and Gino was put on a training course. Some of his humour and antics in 2024 have become increasingly hard to tolerate,” an unidentified source claimed.
A spokesperson for ITV said: “We made our position clear following the outcome of our KC Review last year. We said we are completely committed to creating an environment where everyone is treated with respect and feels able to give their best.”
They also noted that the channel would “take action” if they “find that something inappropriate has happened”.
