My Mum, Your Dad star David opens up about his decision to adopt his little brother during tonight’s episode.

The ITV dating show has returned for a second series with Davina McCall at the helm.

The first five episodes have been put on ITVX for viewers to binge if they’d rather that than watching it each evening this week.

In the second episode, airing on ITV1 on September 17, David spills some touching details on his family life.

David on My Mum, Your Dad

Speaking to Maria, David says: “I’ve got four [kids]. Tiana, she’s in uni now. I’ve got my eldest boy, my little girl and my other little boy with me full-time.

“My little boy being with me is why I’m single. I adopted him.”

Maria replies: “Oh really? How come?”

After that, David says: “He’s my brother and he was going into care.”

Speaking to the camera, David says: “My brother has been with me since he was one. Yeah, he’s cool. He’s a lovely kid.

“He’s got a lot of love in him. Taking him on now, my life changed dramatically becoming a single parent dad. For me, it’s the only thing you can do.

“I’m not going to watch my little brother go into care and never see him again. I’m going to bring him in, he becomes a part of my family.”

Meanwhile, he adds: “So I am my brother’s keeper.”

Elsewhere on tonight’s show, David and Jenny reflect on their date – which aired on Monday night’s episode. Host Davina arrives to chat to the parents on their first dates.

During the date, David had admitted he was reluctant to get married. However, Jenny said that was a “dealbreaker” for her.

Meanwhile, David tells Davina: “For me, I don’t see the point personally, everybody I know has got divorced.  Friends my age have been married three or four times.  After the first time, how can it be real?”

MAFS star Alex Henry is facing some very serious allegations against him.

The groom allegedly abandoned his post at a warfare base to look for love on the show.

He has now faced jail time, according to The Sun – but this isn’t the only allegation against him.

Alex was reportedly seized by military police when he returned home after starring in the experiment. He was then sentenced to 34 days in a military prison.

The reality TV contestant is said to have served 24 days before being sacked.

Reports claim that the Air Specialist asked his commander for extra leave so he could star on the show.

Obviously, it was refused. But Alex went anyway!

A spokesman for Henry stated to The Sun: “He returned after filming of his own volition and handed himself into the military authorities.

“He was sentenced to 34 days in a military prison and served 24 as a model inmate.”

Elsewhere, Channel 4 has confirmed that it also received “a single allegation against a Married at First Sight UK 2024 contributor”.

They claimed to have “responded directly to those who came to us with that allegation”.

In a statement it went on to say that the “welfare of our contributors is of paramount importance.”

They went on to say: “We take all allegations of unacceptable behaviour seriously”.

It continued: “Everyone taking part in MAFS UK undergoes a rigorous vetting process, involving a criminal record check and multiple psychological evaluations, before they can be cleared to take part.

“We cast contributors based on the information we are legally able to access, and we continue to review this process to ensure checks are as thorough as legally possible.”

The broadcaster has also said it would not cut Henry’s scenes. This is reportedly because “the DBS (criminal record) check carried out” was returned “clear”.

According to reports, the BBC says it has viewed evidence that the alleged victim sent to Channel 4. As well as her request for Henry to be removed from the show.

In a response, C4 said the programme was “filmed several months ago and is not live so Alexander will feature in the programmes that have been edited and are due for broadcast”.

In Coronation Street, Joel Deering has been at the centre of a grooming scandal for months, with several fans believing his comeuppance is coming soon.

Joel’s crimes were brought to light after it was confirmed he was behind the disappearance of Lauren Bolton. He groomed her and other girls before getting Lauren pregnant.

Afterwards, he tried to poison Lauren to get rid of his son. Now, ex-Dee-Dee, Lauren and DS Lisa Swain are determined to bring his crimes to light.

Joel’s wrongdoings

Joel has proved himself to be one of the nastiest villains the cobbles has ever seen, despite appearing as a good guy when he first came onto our screens a year ago.

Dee-Dee, despite being devastated after connecting the dots, is trying to take Joel down after she vowed to protect Lauren.

Teaming up with DS Lisa Swain, who is equally as determined as Dee-Dee, the double act are working around the clock together evidence. What’s more, Swain’s daughter – Betsy – was threatened by Joel after she attempted to blackmail him.

Now, fans are convinced Joel’s end is near and have shared a few theories on how it might come to.

Coronation Street theory 1. Ellie will reveal the truth about Joel

In Monday night’s (September 16) Corrie, DS Swain spoke to another one of Joel’s victims, Ellie.

Swain tried to convince her to make a statement to help Lauren and other girls who could be abused by Joel. At first, she refused, claiming Joel would kill her.

However, Ellie made her way to the hospital and saw baby Frankie, which changed her mind. Also, the solicitor used by Joel covered up his situation.

Dee-Dee later visited the solicitors and demanded that they abolished their non-disclosure agreement which Ellie had signed. The owner then had to give an official statement.

Due to this, a new case for Joel could be opened by police. She told Lauren and Swain and added: “This is the beginning of the end for Joel Deering.”

Another popular fan theory sees Joel meet his end through Swain, who will go as far as to kill him.

One X user wrote: “I don’t think Joel will go to prison. They won’t drag a trial out for this storyline, he’s meeting his maker and his maker is this woman. I just have a feeling she’ll go all Clarice Starling on him.”

Swain and Joel have often butt heads over his professional proceedings. She has taken his betrayal particularly harshly, due to her desire to protect young women in her ‘care.’

Many believe this will be enough to make Swain switch up her morals and deliver a killing blow after uncovering all of his wrongdoings through interviews.

Several people think Corrie have been laying the groundwork for a whodunnit storyline.

With Lauren, Swain and Dee-Dee teaming up to take him down, could one of the women make the leap?

“Random theory but is Joel gonna get killed with a whodunnit attached and the three women who hate him most will be in the frame?,” wrote a social media fan.

Theory 4. Joel dies

Fans believe almost all clues point to Joel’s life ending. With the solicitor being previously let off due to lack of evidence, many don’t trust Weatherfield police.

A viewer of X penned: “I think Swain will shoot Joel dead. Cop mode on, she’ll do it to protect her women. (Carla, Dee-Dee and Betsy). I definitely think Joel’s time is up and he will be killed off!”
