I’m A Celebrity fans demand EastEnders star Joe Swash returns to Unpacked

Fans of I’m A Celebrity and its spin-off show Unpacked have taken to social media to demand ITV adds erstwhile King of the Jungle Joe Swash (back) to its panel.

Since the show’s conclusion, rumours have been circulating online that Kemi Rodgers will be a contestant on I’m A Celebrity next year.

Co-host Sam Thompson, who won the show last year (beating Nigel Farage in the process), is among those behind the rumours…

She’s the only member of the Unpacked trio not to have been on the show before. Someone will need to replace her. Could Joe Swash fill that gap?

I’m A Celebrity fans want EastEnders icon Joe Swash on Unpacked

Viewers of I’m A Celebrity have been on an emotional rollercoaster in recent days. Ant McPartlin was in tears watching Coleen Rooney reunite with her sons, while complaints poured as the final four took on the Celebrity Cyclone trial.

In the end, Danny Jones beat Coleen Rooney to the crown, and was named this year’s King of the Jungle.

And among it all, there appears to be a desire among some viewers for a shakeup on I’m A Celebrity’s spin-off chat show Unpacked.

This isn’t to say no one liked it. Many have taken to social media to celebrate the show.

This year, its presenters have been former winner Sam Thompson, runner-up Joel Dommett, and Kemi Rodgers. As it stands, Kemi is the only one of the three not to have entered the jungle as a contestant.

Sam Thompson suggests Kemi Rodgers takes on I’m A Celebrity

Last week, we reported that Sam Thompson had suggested she might put her money where her mouth is and sign up to take part in I’m A Celebrity next year.

If she does, she’ll leave a space in the Unpacked studio. Who will fill it? Some fans want Joe Swash to step in.

“They should bring back Joe Swash,” one viewer posted on X.

Another wrote: “I like Sam but he is the absolute worst presenter… Sorry Sam, just loosen up! Bring back Joe Swash.”

A third tweeted: “Nice to see Joe Swash on Unpacked.” He’d come in for a guest slot. “Can we get him back on the show next year where he belongs?”

Another viewer thought the current presenters actively missed Joe Swash’s presence on the show.

“There is not a lot of chemistry on this Unpacked show,” they mused. “Think they miss Joe Swash.”

One audience member called the existing line-up “hilariously bad”. Too harsh…?

Finally, another called the vibe between them “insanely awkward”, saying there was “no chemistry between the hosts whatsoever. No idea why Kemi is even there either.” Again, she’s the only one of the three not to have gone into the jungle for real.

“Should’ve got Joe Swash back and put Joel with him instead of completely reinventing the wheel!”

Joe has history with I’m A Celeb

Joe won the eighth series of I’m A Celebrity… .

He went on to present the spinoff series I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, NOW! from 2009 to 2015. He then presented Extra Camp with a variety of co-presenters from 2016 to 2019.

In other words, he’s a veteran of the jungle, and fans want him back.

EastEnders return for Joe Swash

The calls for Joe to return to the jungle family come as his character Mickey Miller makes his Albert Square comeback.

In scenes kept top secret ahead of its iPlayer drop this morning (December 9), Mickey has returned to Walford amid the potential closure of Bridge Street market. Wanting to do his bit for the cause, and now a successful businessman, he reconnects with old pals and makes a generous donation.

The latest series of I’m A Celebrity is available to watch on demand on ITV.

Alan Halsall leaves fans laughing during I’m A Celebrity finale

I’m A Celebrity viewers were left in hysterics after fans spotted a signal from Alan Halsall to his daughter.

The epic finale aired last night (December 8), and all the former campmates were there to show their support.

But it seems one celeb in particular caught viewers’ attention – all thanks to his pose.

Right before Ant and Dec announced Danny Jones as the King of the Jungle, the camera showed all the previous campmates.

While many of them smiled and waved, Alan took the opportunity to give his daughter Sienna one final heart.

It has become a staple for him over the last three weeks. Any time Ant and Dec were heading into camp to tell them anything, Alan would make the heart hands. A symbol for his daughter back home.

While it was only a brief second, many viewers spotted it and found it absolutely hilarious.

Viewers react to Alan’s symbol

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), I’m A Celeb viewers couldn’t help but share their thoughts.

One wrote: “Alan had to get one last heart in didn’t he lmao.”

Looool Alan getting one last heart in.

Another added: “Alan doing his heart hand again hahahahaha.”

“Alan’s last heart sign,” a third penned.

A fourth wrote: “Looool Alan getting one last heart in.”

Throughout his whole time on the show, Alan spoke a lot about Sienna, who is just 11 years old. He openly spoke about how his goal in the jungle was to make her proud, and it seems like he has done just that.

Alan was also eager to speak to Sienna as soon as he left the camp, so we’re sure she has told him how much she loved watching.

I’m A Celebrity finale

Many of the jungle celebrities had secret signals to their loved ones back home, but none were just as obvious as Alan’s.

The I’m A Celebrity finale marked the end of what has been described as “the best season ever”.

While Danny was favourite to win from the moment he walked into the camp, it was a hard one to call for everyone back home, as both him and Coleen seemed to have hoards of supporters.

Luckily for viewers who aren’t ready to say goodbye to this year’s campmates, they have one last chance to soak up that jungle magic. The Coming Out show airs this Friday on ITV.

The latest series of I’m A Celebrity is available to watch on demand on ITV.

I’m A Celebrity star Tulisa speaks out over missing final

Published

By

Tulisa Contostavlos took to Instagram to address her absence from the I’m A Celebrity finale days after deleting all traces of the jungle.

The N-Dubz singer was the only campmate missing when Danny Jones was crowned the King of the Jungle.

Tulisa previously clarified that her decision to delete posts related to the jungle had nothing to do with her pals, who handled her Instagram posts while she was away.

She brushed off the rumours that she felt “unhappy” with what was shared about her online. So, fans want to know what stopped her from appearing alongside her fellow campmates last night (December 8).

Tulisa Contostavlos missed I’m A Celebrity finale

Tulisa’s fans have wondered about her whereabouts ever since she left the show. While many seemed disappointed with her early exit, others appeared occupied with rumours surrounding her social media behaviour.

Yesterday, she posted highlights from the jungle close to her heart while dedicating the caption to her fellow campmates in the finale.

Alongside a carousel of her pictures from the jungle, Tulisa wrote: “Looking back at some of my favourite moments from the @Imacelebrity jungle. It’s been a whirlwind.

“Thank you to @itv for the experience and for sending so much love to my jungle fam before the final tonight. Sorry, I can’t be there to celebrate with you all.”

Why Tulisa left Australia after I’m A Celebrity

In a different video posted to her account five days ago, Tulisa revealed the real reason she flew back to her home country.

She said she wanted to take time off to deal with all the attention she received from the show as it became overwhelming.

Tulisa said: “I was getting a lot of attention, a lot of bombarding – in all the most positive way, but because it’s been a bit of a while for me, I can get overwhelmed quite easily and I just started to feel a little bit overwhelmed.”

“And I was like, do you know what? I need to just take a little bit of time for me and just chill. This is all just feeling a bit much at the moment,” she continued.

She also promised her followers she would return with her favourite jungle memories to post on her Instagram reels. “The way it’s being posted and all the random stuff is not how I would do my Insta. I would have one or two really good reels relating to the jungle and bringing my time together there,” the singer explained.

Tulisa sparks criticism over I’m A Celeb final absence

I’m A Celebrity viewers have expressed disappointment with Tulisa for deliberately missing the finale and choosing not to be a part of the final camp moment.

When one of the followers asked: “Couldn’t be there or didn’t want to be there?” another agitated fan added: “You couldn’t even have the dignity to show up to congratulate the winner.”

Echoing the above emotions, one said: “MUST be a GOOD reason why you’ve chosen to fly home. Such a shame you couldn’t finish your jungle experience with the rest of them tonight.”

“Not a great team player after all!” complained another.

However, most comments targeted at Tulisa appeared positive as fans want her to prioritise her mental wellbeing over negative remarks.

“You were fabulous and your soul shone through. Big love,” said one supportive.

Another added: “You came across really well Tulisa and I think you looked stunning. You’re gorgeous. Stay strong babe.”

Someone else wrote: “You’ll always be our winner, we love you, take care of yourself.”
